Work begins at Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library

It was good to see a nice crowd at the groundbreaking ceremonies for the renovations of the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library this morning.   It was also good to see some of the people who've been working for many months to make the transformation of the library a reality.

Library Director Daniel Schwartz speaks to the crowd.
I enjoyed his calling Kerr County Commissioner Guy Overby "Bruce Overby,"
and Kerrville Mayor David Wampler "Mayor Wample."
Architect Peter Lewis speaks to the crowd.  Peter has really had a lot of influence
on the look of our town in the past few decades.

  1. Raise your hand if you were there when Lady Bird dedicated the library in 1967. Me!

  2. I remember when the library was first dedicated.

That was such an exciting event for all of Kerrville.
