Joe Herring Jr.

Since 1994 I've been writing a weekly column for the Kerrville Daily Times about life in Kerrville, Kerr County, and the Texas Hill Country. This site adds to that column, by posting additional images and photographs. I am a native of Kerrville. I am married to a lovely first-grade teacher, and have two grown children.
I run my family's printing company, Herring Printing Company, in Kerrville, on Water Street, less than a block from where I was born.
I've been active in local politics, have served on numerous boards and commissions, and have tried to be a positive part of the community that's blessed my family so much.
I'm also an avid fly fisherman, enjoy riding my bicycle, playing my cello in a beloved string quartet, and hanging out with family and friends.
