A Kerr County settler's cabin

Recently some friends brought by several rare images of the early days of Kerrville, and this one really caught my eye: it is the Holliman cabin, which once stood near where the Kerrville Schreiner Park is today.
When we think of the early days of our community, I think we have romantic notions about how easy life was in those days.  Hopefully this image will help dispel some of those thoughts.  Life here was hard work, and was often lived in very primitive conditions.
