Darrell Royal at the Kerrville Folk Festival

Darrell Royal, who passed away November 7, was a great coach and is a legend on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin.  To honor his memory, I wanted to share a photo of Coach Royal, along with Lady Bird and Lyndon Johnson attending the very first Kerrville Folk Festival in 1972.  That year the festival was held in Kerrville's municipal auditorium.

    Boy has the Folk Festival changed.....They look dressed up by today's fests and it looks like it is indoors.
