As I posted on Monday, there was a lake in Kerrville called Lake Cathorne. It was featured in many items around the turn of the last century, from newspaper and magazine articles, photographs in pamphlets, and even several postcards. The lake is the small body of water adjacent to Louise Hays Park and was originally impounded by the mill dam a bit downstream from the current dam in the park. Lake Cathorne was named for two young Tivy graduates, Thorne Remschel and Catharine Richards.

Joe, I believe the photos of Gussie May in your collection of the campers are on this island. What do you think?
