Heart o' The Hills Inn, Hunt, another view (with horses!)
One of my favorite places in Kerr County is the Heart o' The Hills Camp for Girls, mainly because of my friend Jane Ragsdale and her family. This beautiful old landmark is on the south fork of the Guadalupe River, just beyond Hunt, Texas. Before the site was a girls' camp, however, it was an inn. Built by "Doc" Stewart, who also founded Camp Stewart for Boys and Camp Stewart for Girls (now Camp Mystic), the Heart was originally designed as a place for parents to stay while their kiddos were at camp.
