Bathing Beauties, Kerrville, around 1920

Gentle Reader: it's been hotter than blazes in Kerrville, and your faithful correspondent wants nothing more than to go swimming.  If it weren't for my prudent policy of avoiding the river when it fails to rain regularly, I'd be in there today.  And I wouldn't be embarrassed to wear an old-timey bathing suit, either.  Man, I miss swimming in the river.
These are some shots taken by Gussie May Brown, granddaughter of the founder of Kerrville, Joshua Brown.

Man, that water looks nice.  Kerrville, but I'm not sure where.

  1. That second photo really intrigues me.
I wish I knew where it was taken.
