A friend brought by some items relating to Pampell's, and included in the papers was this poem by Mrs. Virginia Wright. I liked it and it reminded me of the Pampell's of my youth.

I absolutely love that poem.
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of my youth. I practically lived in that store (at least I was a frequent visitor).
My friends and I went there almost every day. Between the hours of 2 and 3 p.m. business was very slow, so no one minded that we sat around talking.
We sat at the tables and chairs that were next to the fountain (I loved those tables and chairs).
I always got a root beer float and my girlfriend got a cherry phosphate.
Ahhhhh ... those were the days!
