Cowboy crossing the street

This is one of my favorite images, of an unknown man walking across the intersection of Water and Earl Garrett streets.  The building in the background is the Weston Building, which today houses Francisco's Restaurant.  Other businesses that have occupied the old building were the Booterie (a shoe store), Chaney's (which was a saloon, then a confectionery), and Weston's Saloon.  At one time City Hall offices were upstairs.

  1. Joe I am really enjoying your blog. As a matter of fact I will post it as a "must read" on The Christmas Store blog, which is called Notes from the 'burg.
