Here's a newly-found shot of Kerrville's Blue Bonnet Hotel, which was on the corner of Water and Earl Garrett Streets, opposite Francisco's Restaurant today, where the bank parking lot is today. Note the star atop the hotel, and the street lamps. I'm guessing this was taken in the early 1950s.

The side door to the hotel (it can be seen in the photo - facing the side of the bank) directed you to a large "sitting area."
ReplyDeleteMost anytime of the day, the room was filled with hotel guests who were sitting around and talking to one another.
The windows on the back of that room overlooked the river.
It was quite beautiful; I miss that old hotel.
This is my new favorite photo of the Blue Bonnet Hotel.
